Player Marketplace
The player marketplace lets one observatory buy rights directly from another. Listings and offers are asynchronous, while settlement is revalidated and posted atomically by the server.
Available trade types
The seller retains ownership and may continue licensing under the current rights policy.
A stronger license that restricts later licensing options according to the rights state.
Transfers active ownership to the buyer. Existing historical provenance and prior valid licenses remain recorded.
Offers do not reserve cash
Submitting an offer records intent but does not move money. At acceptance or Buy Now, the server rechecks the buyer’s current cash, seller ownership, listing status, marketplace access, license legality, and the buyer/seller relationship before settling.
Atomic settlement
A completed trade posts the buyer debit, seller proceeds, and marketplace fee as one balanced transaction. The market also stores an immutable trade record and validation hash so administrators can verify the settlement later.
Moderation
Players can report listings, offers, or trades. Administrators can cancel problematic active listings/offers or suspend an observatory’s marketplace access without suspending its entire game account. Completed trade history is preserved rather than silently rewritten.
