Challenge System
Challenges interrupt the management loop with short operational crises. They are not random punishment in isolation: each one tests a system you can prepare for—power redundancy, data reliability, cash reserves, or staffing flexibility.
Weather emergency
Extreme Weather Circuit Repair
Repair a damaged electrical path before the outage becomes a multi-day facility problem.
Computer failureData Cabin Lockup
Recover the processing system by matching a large circuit-memory board.
Institutional crisisBudget Cuts
Lay off excess staff or absorb a long financial penalty to protect the team.
Common rules
- Challenges have trigger chances and cooldowns; they are not intended to fire continuously.
- Some require specific conditions, such as severe weather or an operational Data Reduction Cabin.
- Failure usually causes a temporary operational or economic consequence instead of instant game-over.
- Background controls are disabled/blurred while a challenge is active so the minigame remains the focus.
